King County Public Health will conduct four free H1N1 vaccine clinics on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Wednesday, Dec. 9, as a way to provide access to people at highest risk for H1N1 influenza (swine flu) who cannot afford to pay.

As a result of the steady increase of H1N1 vaccine shipments to Hamilton County, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department is now offering free H1N1 vaccine to anyone who wishes to receive the vaccine.

During the week of November 15-21, 2009, influenza activity decreased slightly in the United States as reported in FluView. Flu activity is widespread in 43 states. Nationally, visits to doctors for influenza-like-illness declined from last week, but are still higher than expected for this time of year
